Dr. Marina Su earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. She completed her clinical training in the Minnesota Eye Consultants in Minnesota, Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in California, Whiteriver Hospital on the Apache Reservation in Arizona and the Vision Therapy, Pediatrics, Contact Lenses and Low Vision Clinics at the Eye Care Center in California.
She then completed her residency in Ocular Disease with emphasis in co-managing anterior and posterior segment pathology, glaucoma, oculoplastics, strabismus, pediatrics, low vision and specialty contact lens fittings at Fromer Eye Centers in New York. She provides comprehensive and medical eye care for all ages, including InfantSEE® exams, pediatrics, low vision, and specialty contact lenses fittings for ocular surface disease, keratoconus, irregular corneas and aphakia.
She also fits custom-tinted/prosthetic contact lenses for patients with ocular injuries or other ocular disorders.
She has been the recipient of the Dr. Al Dennis Memorial Endowed Award (the highest service award), California Optometric Council Endowed Scholarship for leadership and Dr. Cecil B. Kohake Endowed Scholarship for clinical science. She was the recipient of the American Optometric Association’s President’s Award in 2022 and the New York State Optometric Association's Young OD of the Year in 2017. She has been ranked as one of the top 175 doctors on Newsweek’s America’s Best Eye Doctors in 2021, 2022, and 2023, landing as the top doctor in the Bronx, NY and in the top 10 rankings in New York City and State both years. She has presented posters at academic meetings and delivered COPE-approved lectures. She is a Past-President of the New York State Optometric Association and actively serves on committees with both the New York State Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association. She is also a member of the American Academy of Optometry, American Optometric Association, New York State Optometric Association, and College of Optometrists in Vision Development. She has gone on multiple humanitarian trips including those in the United States, Mexico and Haiti.
Dr. Su is the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Optometry at Fromer Eye Centers. She is also the Ocular Disease Residency Supervisor and an Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor of the State University of New York, State College of Optometry, for the optometric externship and residency programs at Fromer Eye Centers.
Dr. Su speaks fluent English, Taiwanese, Mandarin, and Spanish.
